Just got engaged and don't know where to start? Here are the first 6 things every couple should put at the top of their to do list after getting engaged.

  1. ENJOY BEING ENGAGED

Before diving straight into planning, take a moment to celebrate! Share the news with your family + friends. Throw an engagement party! Enjoy this exciting season together!

Don't feel pressured to start planning immediately.

  1. DISCUSS YOUR WEDDING VISION

Sit down together and talk about what matters most. Do you want a large wedding or something intimate? Indoor or outdoor? Traditional or non-traditional? What are your top priorities?

This conversation will help you make decisions moving forward.

  1. ESTABLISH YOUR WEDDING BUDGET

Before you start researching venues + vendors, you need to determine: your overall budget, who is contributing financially, and your top spending priorities.

Creating a budget early helps prevent disappointment + overspending.

  1. CREATE A PRELIMINARY GUEST LIST

You don’t need exact numbers yet! Start with a rough list. Determine where you stand on plus ones, and separate must-invite guests and nice-to-have guests.

Your guest count will significantly impact venue options + overall cost.

  1. BOOK YOUR VENUE

Research the venues that fit your vision + your guest count. Go on as many tours as you need until you find the perfect fit for you! Just keep in mind that venues book up quickly.

Go in with an open mind when it comes to the exact date.

  1. BOOK YOUR PLANNER

This is where I come in! The best time to hire your planner is at the beginning of your planning journey. I will help create your planning timeline, book your vendors, curate your design, keep you on budget, and so much more!

The sooner you book me, the more value you will receive throughout the planning process!
