WEDDING VENDOR CHECKLIST

Planning a wedding can be a wonderful experience, but it’s no secret that it also comes with a long list of decisions and to-dos. One of the most important parts of the process is assembling your dream team of vendors who will bring your vision to life. Whether you're months away from your "I do" or just getting started, this wedding vendor checklist will help you stay organized and ensure no detail is overlooked.

VENUE

Your venue sets the tone for your entire wedding! Are you looking for an urban downtown location, a rustic barn, or wanting to have your wedding in your backyard? No matter what you choose, your ceremony and reception spaces will influence your date, guest list, and other vendor decisions, so it’s important to make sure you pick your perfect place!

CATERING & BAR SERVICE

Food and drinks are major components of your wedding day. While some venues have in-house catering and bar service, others allow you to bring in your own food and beverage vendors. Whatever your options are, you’ll want to make sure you and your guests have the yummiest options to enjoy throughout the day.

PHOTOGRAPHER

Photos are how you are going to remember your wedding! Look for a photographer whose style matches your vision of your wedding photos. Whether that be classic, editorial, documentary, etc. Make sure to look at their portfolios to see if their style matches what you envision cherishing for the rest of your life!

VIDEOGRAPHER

Videographers capture the live moments that photos can’t - like your vows, first dances, and speeches. They give you the opportunity to relive parts of your wedding day whether that be through full length videos or highlight reals. Some companies offer both photography and videography, so be sure to check if that’s the case before booking both vendors.

FLORAL DESIGNER

Flowers are my personal favorite form of wedding decor! They can completely transform a space and elevate your theme. From bouquets and boutonnieres to centerpieces and arches, you’ll want to work with a floral designer who understands your style, budget, and which flowers are in season for your big day.

BAKERY

Your wedding cake or dessert table should look as good as it tastes! Schedule dessert tastings with a few different bakeries and send them your inspiration photos so they can bring your favorite flavors and vision to life!

RENTALS

Rentals are a major component of beautifully executing your wedding vision! From essential items like tables and chairs to decorative details like specialty glassware or votive candles, choosing the right rental pieces can turn your pinterest inspo pics into your actual wedding photos!

STATIONARY & SIGNAGE

Wedding stationary and signage are so much more than just paper and print - they’re the elements that guide your guests from the save the date to the welcome sign at your wedding to the last thank you note you mail out. Getting cohesive stationary and signage can add such a beautiful touch to all of your wedding festivities!

DJ / MUSICIANS

Music creates the vibe of your whole wedding day! From the song you’ll walk down the aisle to the background music at cocktail hour and the jams you’ll be dancing to at the end of the night, you want to make sure you have a DJ and/or musicians that bring the energy you’re looking to create on your big day!

JEWELER

Your wedding bands are what symbolize the forever that you and your partner are going to share! You’ll want to choose a jeweler who can help you find rings that match your taste and can customize them for resizing and engraving.

MAKEUP & HAIR

Your makeup and hair team are there to help you feel like the best version of yourself on your day! You’ll want to schedule trials in advance for both your hair and makeup to make sure you’re going to love the way you look on your wedding day.

TRANSPORTATION

From getting you and your wedding party to and from the venue to offering shuttles for the guests, transportation keeps the day running smoothly. Whether you want limos, vintage cars, or party buses, transportation is  another way to show your style.

OFFICIANT

Your officiant plays a huge role in your ceremony. Whether you want a religious leader, judge, friend, or family member, make sure it’s someone who will perform the ceremony how you want it and is willing to sign and deliver your marriage license to the county clerk’s office.

WEDDING ATTIRE

Your wedding looks should reflect your personality and feel comfortable enough for a full day celebration. Whether you are looking for a dress (or two or three!), tux, suit, or something in between, you want to make sure that you are shopping at the places best suited for you. Don’t forget about your shoes, accessories, and your wedding party’s attire!
